VERLOREN DEVEREUXa new religion that'll bring you to your knees black velvet if you please He could swear he must have been on a movie set or something. I mean, it was perfect. All of it. Loads of pretty girls, handsome guys, and he was in the center of it all, looking as drop-dead-gorgeous as ever. His cocky smile slipped up onto his face as he ran the fingers of his right hand through his bangs, puffing them up a little and brushing them back. He let his hand drop back to his side as he sauntered into a nearby store, filled with various bits and pieces of jewellery.
He loved jewellery stores. They always thought that they watched for shoplifters so well, so perfectly, that they were just that good. And then he walked in, and they got burned. Real bad. He wandered through the aisles, small, satisfied smile on his face as his fingers ran over the gold and silver chains. He grinned when a rather suspicious fellow looking fellow wandered in, which distracted her for long enough for him to swipe up a rather large handful of necklaces and bracelets from their places, and shove them in his pocket. He fingered them and carefully removed the safety tags, all under the guise of simply browsing the aisles.
He spent a few more moments wandering around, eying the jewels longingly, as though he wished he could buy one for some girlfriend, flashing a heart-breaking smile at the clerk, that held just a trace of regret, as he wandered back out, setting off absolutely no alarms, and leaving the store behind. His hand found his pocket and he cracked a grin as he fingered the chains again. It was a most wonderful day.

She smirked seeing him walk out of the jewelry store."Those aren't worth reselling, you will only get market price." she replied as she leaned on the wall. Her long brunnette hair almost to her back. She knew her stones and she knew them well. This jewelry store got stolen from alot and now didn't keep anything worthwhile out on the shelves. The best things were in the safe. She knew where to get better stones and if she wanted she might cut him in.
She needed to find someone who didn't care for much beyond doing the leg work anyway. She had enough people that were competing for the top spots in her little group. She took a stone out of her pocket and twirled it. It was a raw emerald that had been placed on a chain. She kept it in her pocket. "It doesn't look like much, but when they cleaned and polished they fetch a few hundred million in bulk on the black market." she mused watching Lore.

VERLOREN DEVEREUXa new religion that'll bring you to your knees black velvet if you please He almost cursed himself for getting caught when he realized it was obviously someone who wasn't going to report him. He never let his smooth, calm demeanor slip, though; even when he was worried, he hardly showed it. He flashed her his classic, crooked grin, hands in his pockets and not moving.
Perhaps. But I never said I wanted to sell them.
He informed her. Now out of sight of the store, he swirled one of the chains around his finger lazily. He was excellent at appearing as if he was careless, even though he was anything but. He'd pulled off much larger jobs than shoplifting before. How he'd gotten enough to move here from Cardiff.
Well, good for you, 'n arddun. I'm happy with what I've got.

She smirked almost sinisterly. "Suit yourself, but its far better than that cheap stuff they dare to dream to call Jewelry" she hissed still leaning on the wall. She was used to people flirting with her it just so happened. She thought his demeanor was odd, and amusing. He had alot to learn and she knew it. She waited to see what else he had to say. She chuckled lightly under her breathe.
Her phone rang and she picked it up. "Yes of course, I will be there as planned. Yes with everything you need" she stated before hanging up her cell. That was one of her many clients who bought gems from her on the market and seemed to be in need of more. She was more a middle man for them. She smuggled in the raw stone, cleaned it up and sold it to stores. To the stores she appeared legitimate and was able to sneak under the radar all the time. It was what she had built her life up doing.

VERLOREN DEVEREUXa new religion that'll bring you to your knees black velvet if you please His smile fell away. She was persistent, he'd give her that. But persistence got nowhere with him most days. He put the bracelet away again, and brushed past her, beginning to walk away.
I work alone. Far safer that way.
He replied. It wasn't always true, sometimes he needed a partner, but she wouldn't be a partner. He could tell already she would be a boss, and nothing more. Not only would that probably end up in him going down if she went down, but it would pin him to something, and that was simply not an option. At least, not in this case. There were various things he'd make exceptions for, but this was not one of them.

She turned to leave. "As I said suit yourself" she remarked over her shoulder. She walked down the street, she knew he would either walk the other way or follow her for one reason or another. She didn't care either way. She had things to do and didn't need to be sitting here all day dealing with him. She didn't need a partner, she already had one.
Her mind wandered to what she needed to do. She let her heels click on the walkway down the alleyways. She finally caught up to her limo and leaned on the edge of the car. She thought about getting in or walking. Walking would give her a chance to be free, but her limo was faster. She stopped there to debate her options.
