L. Jethro Gibbs Well in case you failed to notice, In case you failed to see, This is my heart bleeding before you, This is me down on my knees
Gibbs came down here seeing there was a note from Abby from his secretary, and he knew she must be down here if she wasn't in her lab. "You wanted to see me Abs?"he asked as he searched for the goth. He knew better than to look before he spoke, chances are his words would get his attention before her eyes caught sight of him,as she was always so glued to her work. He looked under one of the cars and peered around the garage. There were so many cars in here from a crash that had resulted earlier in the week, that was actually turning into a homicide case.
It was days like this he was glad that Harkness or DiNozzo were on the cases like these. He didn't come down here for an evidence report but he had a feeling she might try and give him one. Everyone had been coming to him. "This is what we have boss" His reply had been "Go Talk to Harkness, or take it to DiNozzo". He had his own mess of issues with homeland security at the moment that he was trying to wiggle his way out of.

ABIGAIL SCIUTOwell you better watch your step she's a diamond on a landmine Abby slid out from under a particularly bashed up Prius. It had been squashed between a giant truck and an SUV, according to pictures, and it certainly hadn't survived too well. She grinned when she saw him and stood up, walking over quickly enough.
Gibbs! I never see you anymore! I'll have to come hug you when I don't have grease all over me.
She exclaimed as she glanced down at the grease-stained getup she was working in, before wrapping her arms around him, keeping them a good couple inches from his suit to keep it clean. She pulled back after, looking dissatisfied.
There. That'll have to do I suppose.
She sighed, turning to quickly jot down a few notes before she had to go back under the car, then took off the gloves she was wearing and turned her attention back to her boss. She was going to be blunt about what she wanted for once, knowing he might appreciate it, considering the topic.
I heard something happened involving Shannon. Spill.

He smiled as Abby gave him a greasy hug with her elbow. He kissed the top of her head lightly as he did with her on many occasions. "Its good to see you to Abs" he gave her a smirk as she spoke. But it didn't take long for his demeanor to change a little. "Nothing Abigail"he said, he only used Abigail when something was wrong. He rarely if ever used it when things were all good.
He backed away a moment realizing she knew something and he wasn't going to get out of here without spilling but he wasn't about to test the theory this time. He just waited for her to chastise him as he knew it was coming from the girl. In fact, he knew she was probably going to start ranting until he decided to shut her up and spill his mind.

ABIGAIL SCIUTOwell you better watch your step she's a diamond on a landmine Her hands quickly found their way to her hips and she glared at him with that insistent, 'you shouldn't be lying to me' glare that she'd picked up mostly from him, though there was an Abby-esque twist to it.
Leroy Jethro Gibbs! You will tell me what is wrong, and you will tell me now. Not 'later', not 'tomorrow', not 'when i figure it out better'. I want to know, and I will send this whole building into lock down, corner you, and force it out of you if you don't tell me immediately.
There was nothing joking in her tone. She was entirely serious, and he knew it. Abby could rant or rave with the best of them, but right now she had gone off the tangent he'd no doubt expected. The use of her full name was always the telltale sign.

He tossed a rag onto the counter. "I divorced her is that what you wanted to hear so badly. How I left her, because I don't love her anymore. It shouldn't matter Abby, it is what it is" he practically barked back at her. Evidence that his anger was getting the best of him at the moment. He didn't threaten Abby he never had.
He backed down as he didn't want to un nerve her. He sighed looking to her. "It was best for every one involved. he said not telling her it involved him falling in love with Jennifer, he figured she could connect the dots.

ABIGAIL SCIUTOwell you better watch your step she's a diamond on a landmine She softened instantly. All she had known was that they'd gotten into an argument of some kind, though she supposed this couldn't be called an argument. More of an issue, though there may have been yelling involved.
Oh.
She replied softly, almost feeling bad about pushing the issue now. Screw the outfit. She stripped the orange jumpsuit off and went over to hug him, hanging her head over his shoulder as she always did.
Gibbs, I'm so sorry. If you ever need anything you let me know right away. Any time.
She put it on her schedule today to bring him a cup of coffee and perhaps buy him some sort of hand tool for his boat. Perhaps a new sander. He'd be working on his boat lots, she had no doubt.

He sighed, her words softening as usual did him in. Thats how they worked; he screamed, she backed down, he spilled. He took a breathe before he began. "It's my fault Abby, I left her because I am in love with Jennifer, and it just wasn't fair to Shannon. I still care about her, and I don't want anything to happen to her. He cared just as much about any women that came into his life, whether they were lovers, wives, friends, close co workers, or even gothic forensic scientists.
He managed to bit his tongue before he went into how Jen had cornered him in the elevator and practically forced him to that decision. He turned his head to look at the girl hanging over his shoulder. He sighed a moment as he waited for her to give him some kind of relationship or something. He was just thankful she would listen.
