Shannon was actually quiet happy for once. She’d managed to keep her job for quiet a while and was now the manager, as she’d proven she had excilent organizational skills. (Something good comes out of being married to a Marine.) But she was just at the park today, walking along enjoying the day. But it was slightly tempered by that it was her dead daughters birthday. She could still see the little redheaded girl, but today she was forcing herself to not think about her, and for some reason walking in the park helped.
She was quiet as she walked, and the jeans bairly made a sound. The navy blue T-shirt fit well and she looked quiet good for a fourty eight year old woman. She was rather lost in her own world, and seemed to not really notice anyone who passed her.

Jethro still had a habit of coming to the park on this day too. He was confused still about everything but he wasn't really here to come and find Shannon he was just sort of here when he accidently bumped into her. "Watch where.." he started but then realized it was Shannon, probably the only person he broke his so called rules with. "I'm sorry, that was my fault" he said quietly. He tossed a small smile in her direction.
He wasn't really sure how she felt bumping into him but Kelly was fresh on his mind. He didn't have to wonder what she was doing here, he already knew. He wanted to reach out and give her a friendly hug but didn't want to upset her. He still talked to her on the phone on occasion but they hadn't seen each other since she left.

Shannon had not been expecting Jethro. She should have been… but of course she perfered not to think about it. His first two words made her actually snap out of her fump, ”No. Your not the one walking along daydreaming.” she said taking a quick step back, out of range.
It wasn’t that she didn’t want a hug, she just didn’t want to DEAL with the emotions that come with the hug. She didn’t return the smile. She wasn’t sure she was exactly comfortable with this was telling herself that running away was not an option any more.

He noticed her back away and noted to himself that she didnt want any physical contact he wouldn't push the envelop with that so to speak. "Daydreaming no.. remembering is a better word" he stated blankly not showing his emotions to even the person who he had once shown everything to. He didn't allow her to see the pain behind his face. He had just come from Kelly's grave where he had left flowers. He could tell she hadn't been there yet as the area seemed undisturbed for a few days. He had a book in his hand, it had been Kelly's favorite. He just didn't have time to put it back in the car.
He was worse off today than most days when it came to his daughter, he couldn't seem to get her off his mind at all. He just more or less shrugged at his thoughts not realizing he was actually shrugging and she could see it. He bit his lip, wanting to rid his mind of everything at the moment. Jen's words were fresh in his mind still. It still wasn't helping matters but he wasn't here to think about that and it just rolled right into Kelly again back and forth and back, it felt like a seesaw.

Shannon shook her head. "Daydreaming, and remembering. They get rolled up in one lately." She hadn't meant to let any bitterness into her voice but she'd never been that good with her emotions and controling them. She saw the shrug and stopped herself from reacting. The want to hug him was forbidden in her mind as of right then.
She caught sight of Kelly's favorit book and sighed looking down. "I was trying to avoid that." she murmured more to herself then anything, but it was loud enough for him to hear if he wanted to.

He sighed hearing her last words. He more or less passed off her first words because they were more or less the same feelings he had at the moment. He spoke to her last words. "I was too.. but we know how well that works" he admitted. He knew that she knew that he always had issues around the girl's birthday and the anniversary of her death. He also knew she took it harder some days than most. He bit his lip. Most of Kelly's stuff had remained at the house, but he had allowed her to take what she wanted from her things. He guessed it was probably to painful for her.
He didn't want to hurt her anymore so he put it in his coat pocket where it fit but just barely. However, it got it out of sight and hopefully out of mind. But he doubted that last part almost as much as he guessed she would, but then again he didn't know everything about the woman. He had spent enough years with her to know how she reacted to most things.

She nodded in answer. Avoiding things just causes more problems, you should know that by now Shannon. She told her self. She stepped off the path as some joggers came buy and watched them for a second. "Hows Jenny?" she asked quietly. She did want to know. They'd been friends until...
She was trying to decide if staying and talking with him was a good idea or if she hsould just walk away, head to Kelly's grave then go home and cuddle with the cats.

He hated that question and he answered it without lying but with holding the part about being pregnant from Shannon. He figured that would only make her mood worse. "She's well" he stated softly. He knew better than to get into things completely it would be a huge problem and he thought it was best to avoid the issue at the moment. He would eventually have to tell her. He did still care for Shannon and that was never going to change whether she wanted it to or not.
He kept his emotions hidden still from her, he didn't need her to know there was confusion and among other things on his mind. He rarely got confused and he rarely worried as much as he had been the last few days, though there was never a moment he didn't ever not worry.

Shannon nodded. alright then. Keep your secrets. You always have and always will. She thought angrily. "Good." she said softly, before looking at another jogger. "Well i've got things to do. tell Kate, and everyone else that i miss 'em." she said walking past him and towards the cemitary. angrily
