Jack is primarily a flirt. Pretty girl? Handsome guy? Doesn't matter which. He'll pay them compliments by the dozen. He's even been told saying 'hello' is like flirting to him, though he denies it. Despite this, though, he is pretty down-to-earth. He sees things for what they are, not what they could be. He also recognizes that to do good, he often has to dabble in bad, and he embraces it enough to get the job done quickly and efficiently. He's courageous, too, and he'll gladly take a bullet for anyone except the bad guy. He deals with anything strange as it comes, and isn't afraid to believe in things like extraterrestrials and the occult.
I NEVER THOUGHT I COULD FALL LIKE THAT ;;
Jack's been through a lot in his life, though he's moved past it for the most part. He was born in a dangerous part of town, though they managed to stay safe long enough for him to get a younger brother, Gray. When he was eight and Gray was four, though, that luck changed. His father had gotten on the wrong side of a gang. They had to run, and they had to go fast. His mother sent them ahead, running to their grandparents, making sure to tell Jack to not let go of Gray's hand. Next thing he knew, he was running through the dark streets, alone, and running into his grandmother's arms. Her words still haunt him; Where's Gray, Jack? Where is he?
They lost his brother that day, and life was never quite the same. Although they said they didn't, he always knew his parents blamed him. Hell, he blamed himself. But he dealt with it. At least, as much as he could. He made it through school, barely, with one goal in mind. To become some sort of cop and find Gray, or, at least, find out what had happened to him if he wasn't alive. He started as a probationary officer in NCIS, working his way up. Eventually it was believed he could lead his own team. He was sent to Headquarters in Washington, DC and so far, a few days in, he's a complete natural. He's stopped looking for Gray, though he keeps an eye open for some new tidbit of information, just in case.
