L. Jethro Gibbs When Push comes to shove. You taste what you're made of. You might bend til you break.
Gibbs had heard from Ducky that Jeanne Benoit was a victim in the latest case. He furrowed his brow as he had the MTAC feed call to Jennifer Shepard. He didn't know anything on the case yet but he wanted to give her a heads up that this was going to be headed her way eventually. He put his headgear on as the feed began coming in little grains. He didn't lock the door to MTAC it was self locking these days and one could only open it from the inside.
He waited for the feed to come in as he waited for Sec Nav, great this was going to be enough fun for all of those involved. He secretly figured that Jenny had killed La Grenouille a few years back and since tony had fallen for Jeanne and forced to chase her away, he knew this was going to be difficult on the team leader but that wasn't what was on his mind. He was there to let Jenny know what was going on and keep her in the loop, because if she found out some other way, he knew it would be his head.
He watched the fuzz on the screen for a while it was kind of calming and peaceful, he knew that this conversation would not be and so wasn't about to beat around the bush on this one, he wasn't that type anyway, though with Jenny things were a bit different, ever since their affair in Europe, things hadn't always been the same between them and he knew that too. He tucked that out of his mind at the moment.

Jenny Shepard Love makes us act like we are fools. Throw our lives away. For one, happy day. "Ma'am you have a call from MTAC.""Thank you, Jason," she said whilst moving into her private office where the feed would come through on her computer in a few moments. It had been a long day, and knowing this feeling she had presently, it was probably going to be made longer after the contents of this call. But who was it from? Jason hadn't told her, and she knew that they usually didn't trust people like him with that menial information. Oh, well, she would find out shortly. She sighed as she sat down. 'I promised myself I'd never let myself get these damn feelings. He's rubbed off on me more than I thought. ...Damn you, Jethro,' she thought, watching the fuzzy screen slowly kick into gear as the feed came through. The woman had picked up a pen and was tapping it lightly on her desk, annoyed at how long it still took for MTAC to connect people. She grumbled and threw the writing utensil across her desk and watched it land on the floor a few meters away. Her narrowed eyes flicked to the screen as the resolution cleared up and she started to be able to make out the form on the other end. NCIS? Maybe... A smile flew across her lips for the briefest of moments and faded quickly while she shook her head in mild amusement. 'Speak. Of. The. Devil.' She cleared her throat silently and recognized when the feed was coming through strong and clear. "Good afternoon, Jethro," she said good-naturedly, maintaining a neutral expression.

"Hello Jen, I am not making a friendly call, we have a sort of sticky situation. It appears your friend Jeanne Benoit is back in town." he stated clearly. He flipped his headset up to a better position for speaking. "We don't know much at this point. She's in the hospital in critical condition, Tony's team has got it covered, I will fill you in when I know more." His eyes were darting back and forth between the screen and the darkness behind him.
He was doing what he needed to in order to protect his team when it came to an emotional breakdown with Tony he already had foreseen. He looked back to the screen and spoke again. "All we know at this point is she was stabbed, her daughter is here now, and she shot a marine who came into her place. Until she wakes, we have only the word of a 4 yr." he stated with a sigh.

Jenny Shepard Love makes us act like we are fools. Throw our lives away. For one, happy day. Not that she expected it to be a personal or friendly call... Jennifer Shepard's eyes narrowed as the conversation continued and Director Gibbs explained the circumstances of their call. Not even thinking about the word 'director' and 'Gibbs' used in the same sentence would make the Secretary of the Navy chuckle. Not after hearing about what had been going on over there. 'Jeanne Benoit....La Grenouille's daughter...' Her mind was racing a mile a minute, while she attempted to formulate some kind of response. It was unbelievable and yet it was happening. Jenny let out a quiet grunt of annoyance before turning her attention to the screen. "Jeanne Benoit is none of NCIS concern, Director Gibbs," she started in the same voice she had when she was really upset, not noticing that she had pulled rank in her words. "Immediately hand the case over to Metro and cooperate with them. She is not a sailor, or a wife of a sailor, and her daughter isn't a sailor is she? All she did was shoot your marine; handle that part of the investigation while working with the local L.E.O.s," her voice trailed off and Jenny's eyes widened at her own words. 'Daughter?" Her green orbs shot back and forth quickly as she thought about what Gibbs had said. She was confused and it didn't take a genius to figure that one out, so someone whom she'd spent sleepless nights with in the most romantic city in the world with would need only the slightest of hints. "Tony has a daughter?" she asked, jumping to conclusions way to quickly. She sighed, realizing she wasn't being a very good superior at the moment; blurting out her thoughts when they were neither necessary nor professional. She opened her eyes and stared at Gibbs as best as she can through the screen. Jenny stayed silent, thinking about all possible scenarios and routes of action. She favored handing the case over to Metro, but NCIS was involved now and they had to get to the bottom of why someone would call NCIS. Was it the child? And why did she have the number? So many questions... I'm coming there to stay in the loop quicker than these damn MTAC transmissions," Jenny said sternly, getting ready to stand up from her swivel chair. "Expect me." The feed was disconnected and Jenny prepared to go to NCIS Headquarters and deal with this strange situation herself. ((Hope that's okay?))

"She's NCIS's problem now Miss Secretary" he stated bluntly. He looked to the feed as she spoke. He knew she would be headed down this way shortly. He wasn't about to hand the case over to Metro, they still had a dead marine, and it wasn't going away anytime soon. He furrowed his brow as the feed cut off. He didn't know if Tony had a daughter or not.
He tossed his headset off and walked out of MTAC, heading towards his office. He pulled everything up on his computer that he could about this case. At least everything that had been up to to date on so far. He sighed as he looked over the case at the moment. There were too many unanswered questions but then again the case just opened but that was to be expected.
He knew to expect Sec Nav soon, and it wasn't going to be a joyride, but he had known that when he had called her. This was after all in his mind her mess, and she needed to get it taken care of. He shrugged slamming his pen down on his desk.
