Anthony DiNozzo So Kiss Me Goodbye. Honey, Im Gonna Make It Out Alive. So Kiss Me Goodbye. I Can See The Venom In Your Eyes. Goodbye. Snakes On A Plane - Cobra Starship. Tony had been sitting at his desk, gazing at the phone all day. He was wating for the hospital to ring, just to let him know that Jeanne was awake. He needed to question her about the attack, he had Addy's story and now he needed her account. He also just wanted to see her. He needed to know about Addy and whether she was part of him. There again, he could always slide a DNA test Abby's way... He was interrupted by the phone. It barely rang twice when the receiver was in his hand and by his ear. DiNozzo.... Yes.... Great thanks, Im on my way.... He didn't breathe a word to his co-workers, he just got up and grabbed his coat as he leave swiftly via the elevator. He didn't want anyone to follow him nor Gibbs to suspect - though he had a feeling his Director already did. McGeek wasn't the best for secrets that weren't described as Secrets. He didn't think he'd need to tell his Senior Field Agent to keep quiet. He secretly knew the news would get to Gibbs eventually but he wanted to give a good impression for his first case with Gibbs present. It didn't take him long to reach the hospital in his Mustang. He parked it up in the vistors car lot, locking it as he walked towards the entrance. He asked for her at the reception and was directed to her private ward at the end of the hall. He peered through the glass to see her lying in her bed motionless. She looked peaceful, like one of those porcelain dolls. He smiled to himself before rapping on the door lightly before letting himself in. Hey. You okay? His voice almost a whisper as he sat down by her bedside. He was making this visit informal - just this once considering who it was. He'd still need to ask her questions but not just yet.

Jeanne Benoit She sighed rolling over onto her good side seeing him come in."I'm fine, how's addy?" she asked quickly concerned for her daughter. She wanted DiNozzo to take care of him, she thought she belonged to him, it was hard to tell for her really. She sighed looking to him. "Why did you come? You should have left it be!" she didn't feel like explaining it to him at the moment. She didn't feel like questions but she had opened the door to them unintentionally just as the girl always had.
She looked to him noting he had his gun with him and his badge with meant he was still on duty, that sort of bothered her a bit. "Would you even be here if I didn't shoot him? she asked coldly. She wanted to know that he wasn't going to hand her case over to metro, she didn't trust metro, not that she fully trusted Tony at the moment, she didn't know what to believe anymore. She hide her face for a moment.

He smiled when she turned to face him, knowing she wasn't in any immediate danger. But he knew Jeanne and that meant she was being a martyr to herself, probably hiding her discomfort from her visitor. He laughed when she mentioned Addy. Oh she's at the squadroom, playing Barbies with McGee. He looks like he's having the time of his life. Hope he knows it's going on my Facebook page! He laughed again, getting his cell out to show her the photo of her little daughter giggling at mcGee trying to dress a doll, surrounded by plastic bodies... made a change from the real thing!
He pulled a face at her, hearing the exasperated questions. HE was supposed to be interrogating HER! Well... I came to see if you were ok, if that's alright with you. You were stabbed in the side... you expected me to just walk away from that when I've got Addy hanging on my leg every second of the day?
He was on duty but that didn't mean he didn't care. Infact, he cared too much. She was an assignment he got too attached to... loved even, to say the least. And he messed it up. He wasn't truthful to her because of ordered from the old Director. She wouldn't understand that though. He sighed, turning his head away from her for brief seconds. If you hadn't shot him, I wouldn't have known you were even in the area. You disappeared remember? I emailed, phoned. Nothing. You were upset and I get that. He shook his jacket off his shoulders, slinging it around the back of the chair to reveal one of many Armani shirts. Jeanne... I need to know what happened. Addy told me her story but I need yours... if Im gonna help you... She must have trusted him a little to look after her daughter - who may or may not be his!

Jeanne Benoit She smiled looking at the picture on his phone. "I pity him. The barbies are out of control." she admitted with a sigh. She turned away when when he brought up what happened. She knew he had ulterior motives, he always had when it came to her. She looked o him. "I'm not wanting to get hurt again DiNozzo, you broke my heart and expected me to just come around and answer your calls. You aren't going to like this but I'm fairly sure addy is just as much yours as she is mine. I can't be completely sure, I had a relationship with the man I shot, he stabbed me so I shot him. It may have been a rebound from us, but I don't know, I just want you to make this all go away. I want to go home." she stated before closing her eyes as the light was hurting her eyes, it also helped clear her head.

He smirked his infamous look when she mentioned the Probie. Sometimes... maybe.... but he deserves it. Addy is probably the closest thing he's had to a date in years, even if it is a PLAYdate!
He sighed when she started being defensive. Jeanne, I was doing my job. Im a Special Agent, it's what i do! It's just.... I never expected to fall for you like I did. I fell hard. I couldn't jepodise my career but I couldn't lose you. You don't know how hard that is. He never faced her as he spoke, his head down to the floor. He only raised it when she mentioned Addy being his. But she was only Fairly Sure, that wasn't a Positive however. He did the math himself at the crimescene but mentioning it out loud made it seem more real.
She was speaking fast, too fast for him to catch everything but he whipped out a small notepad and his trusty pencil and jotted a few odd words down for effect. He figured out that she'd had a relationship with the guy she shot. And I will but I need to know facts Jeanne. Like, what you were arguing about? The more I know, the quicker I can make it go away He wanted to help her but she needed to open up to him, trust him... just once more.

Jeanne Benoit "I can't afford to trust anymore Tony, I have been hurt too many times. Its my life, it doesn't matter really. We were just fighting and it got out of hand." she didn't mention their fight had been over addy and it had raised her parentage into question and Jonathan thought she was being unfaithful so he tried to kill her. That would be admitting she still thought about him.
She kept her eyes closed, silent tears streaming down her face as she laid in the hospital bed, memories of them coming back to her flooding her. She looked to him wanting to trust him again but there was fear in her heart. She didn't know what was a lie and what wasn't, it was still hurting her inside and it showed. He would have to gain her trust again.

He diverted his eyes as she started to cry. He was never any good with emotions, especially women and especially her. He didn't know what else he could do?! He didn't know how else to gain her trust. He let out a sigh for only his ears.
He spoke softly to her, knowing she'd just ignore him anyway. What was the fight about? Addy? Yourselves? I need to know what triggered him to attack you. This wasn't just a case to him, this was about her too and his so-called daughter. He had a duty to protect them and if the "Director" didn't see her innocence, then she'd be seperated from Addy and he didn't want that. Im gonna prove you're innocent He remained seated. He couldn't leave her, not in this state...

Jeanne Benoit She sighed looking over to him."I was accused of being unfaithful, we were talking about addy..... she paised a moment "and your name came up...." her voice trailed off.She averted her eyes, she didn't feel like explaining the rest that was evident. She just let tears stream down her face. She didn't need his reassurance that he would prove her innocent, she didn't do anything and she already knew that. She just laid there on the bed looking to him. She still wasn't too trusting as she wouldn't go into many details, she had told him only what was on the surface of the argument. She sighed, figuring he was smart enough to put two and two together though.
Her mind continued without her lips the argument fresh in her head. She kept her tell tale eyes out of this, she didn't want him know how much she was emotional hurting, that wasn't his job, his job was to make it right. She kept darting back and forth between the door and the side of the bed, careful to avoid eye contact with Tony.

Tony indeed put two and two together and came out with the correct answer. Obviously the two had argued over who had spawned Addy and his name cropped up out of the blue. The guy got jealous and stabbed Jeanne, who lashed back with bullets. He noted his finding down in pnecil before putting away his utensils back into his jacket.
She seemed upset by his presence and he hated seeing her cry. He stood up, grabbing his jacket from behind the chair. Thank you. I'll go because... Im not exactly helping you recover am I? Look, Im sorry... about everything. When this is over, it'll be the last you'll see of me. I promise. If you want it that way... He hoped she'd make him stay, make him sit with her, want him back. He knew it was a long shot but it was thoughts he wished were reality once again. He knew Gibbs would be pissed when all this leaked out - another reason he didn't exactly want to go back to the office.

Being a nurse and being stuck in a hospital bed, with your once lover, trying to figure out why you had killed a man, and at the same time trying to piece together who your daughter belonged to was more than slightly stressful and was really uncomfortable. As he took his jacket and spoke she shrugged, he wasn’t doing any harm. Jeanne hadn’t looked at him pretty much since he walked him. She didn’t want to see that face she knew all to well.
The nurse’s jaw clenched tight, here she was again being stuck in the middle of this awful rut. First he said one thing and then another, first she was just an assignment he got to attached too, and now he was acting like this was something she had wanted. She didn’t want him to disappear, but she also couldn’t allow herself to just be in love with someone like him. She blinked a few times wiping the tears away from her eyes, looking over to him. Honestly as angry as she was with him, she was just wiped out.
“Sorry doesn’t count for shit, Tony.” The words that flew off her lips surprised even her. It had been exactly what she was thinking, but usually the filter between her mouth and brain caught stuff like that. She shook her head lightly, as if trying to clear it, “I didn’t mean that.” She whispered softly, her hands were busy wadding and unwadding the sheet on her bed. Those killer blue eyes looked at him through her wet lashes, before back down to the blanket, smoothing out the creases. “You can stay if you want.”
For some reason Glee’s, Somebody to Love was running through her frazzled brain, luckily she wasn’t to that exhausted point where she started thinking and speaking in Old English, we’re talking Shakespearean. It was like listening to a broken record at the moment, the lyric “I got no common sense left,” was stuck and then it would go into the chorus, but it was simply awful. It went well with the moment, her common sense had tried to make him mad, and get him out of her life for keeps, but her dang heart wanted him to stay.

Tony was quite shocked by her statement. It wasn't like her to mouth like that, or that he'd known anyway! She was quick to apologise though and he understood that. He shrugged when she spoke. You can stay if you want So she was gonna lay it on him, was she? Well... only if you want me to. Im not gonna stay if you're gonna ignore me all day.
He gave his usual smirk, leaning on the back of the chair casually. He couldn't help being cocky, that was just him and she would know that. The only thing he lied about all those years ago was his job and his name. Everything else was real.
He looked about the room. It looked dreary and dark. It needed flowers and light in here. Oh! If you're stable and everything, I could bring Addy over tomorrow to see you. SHe's been asking about you. It might help for her to see you. Not that she's not having an awesome time at the office mind! She's been for ice cream with Ducky, shopping with Abby, playing with McGee... I think we're watching Cinderella before bed tonight too! He gave a laugh. Ofcourse Addy was gonna stay at his tonight because that's what Jeanne had wanted on her near-death bed. And Jeanne only knew that Tony was a movie-buff... though Cinderella wasn't his usual cup of tea!

A hand went to push her hair behind her ears, before looking to him again this time she let her eyes linger for just a few seconds. “I haven’t ignored you once....today. I’ve answered any question you asked.” She didn’t have anything to lay into him about; at the moment… maybe later she would think of something. When he smirked at her, she couldn’t help but smile back, though she quickly looked back down, her hair falling into her face again.
Hospital rooms always sucked, period. They were either to bright, or too dark, and never the right temperature, but working in a hospital she was accustomed to the temperature. While Tony knew the truth about how he felt, Jeanne was still in the dark, for all she knew he had lied about everything, it was hard to trust someone like that with your heart. That and she knew he had quite the track record with women, anyway, and now she was just a notch in his bedpost.
When the talk turned to Addy, Jeanne seemed to light up. That little girl was Jeanne’s joy. “That would be great.” As far as Jeanne knew she had pretty much been stable since she got here, the ambulance though was a blur, and she did remember Tony’s face swimming in and out of her eyes sight, and she had been making him promise something, but what she couldn’t recall. “What did you tell her?” Certainly Addy didn’t need to worry Jeanne have already looked at her stitched wound, and actually poked at it a little, she was a thorn in the nurse’s side. Jeanne’s blue eyes were playing a game of hide and go seek, as Tony spoke, she was trying to fight sleep, something was telling her it was not nap time right now.

His eyes caught hers for a brief moment, memory jogging back to those nights he spent with her. He managed to shake it off to answer her. I suppose... though you never told me everything! That's with-holding evidence! He joked playfully. He had enough for now, considering todays events but he would need more later.
It was hard for him, to just spill out stuff like that. It was easy for a woman to give her heart away but it was more difficult for him. His father never really made a good example of him, who else was he to follow?! He knew he loved her and she would just have to.. guess the rest!
He smiled, seeing her face light up at the mention of her daughter... their daughter infact. He looked down to the floor when she asked about what he had told her. Well she's pretty smart! She knew you'd been stabbed off a "nasty man". I just told her that you were poorly but the hospital would make you better but that she'd have to stay with us for a little bit while you were here. That's all... he hadn't told Addy about her mom being asked lots of questions about what happened. It had only happened today, he was taking it a step at a time. He wasn't a fan of kids but he wasn't kid-retarded!
