He glanced up as she spoke. "Never did learn anything from you that seems to still stick" he replied as they walked he felt like one of those people the paparazzi were after and now he knew why they ran from them. If he hadn't known better he would shoot them to and be done with them, but he wasn't stupid. He wasn't about to shoot them.
He watched Jen out of the corner of his eye not caring what others thought at the moment. He didn't care what the media would say either if he saw them. When they got the beach he pinched her in the side playfully and took off towards the water. He wanted her to chase him. He didn't go cery far in but ran along the beach. He could use the exercise anyway right?

Jethro’s idea of politics or compromise usually involved violence, shooting someone, or threatening someone until they succumbed to his demands. That fantasy would have to come to a screeching halt very soon, if he wanted to stay the Director of NCIS, and if no one dare defy him, she would take action in one of his few meetings with officials from the Pentagon, often including herself. Jen was constantly thinking about her image and knew there was little she could do to hide that and she really did want to spend time with Jethro in public and at the beach. Her eyes widened in shock when they reached the sand. Her mouth pouted and she jogged after him, letting the bag fall out of her hand near a hand railing. She would make him pay for that!
